North Kingstown, RI -- This is a 1940's original NARRAGANSETT BEER TRAY featuring Dr. SEUSS artwork with Chief Gansett "Gangway for Gansett". The tray measures 12" in diameter, bright and clean, one of the nicest I've seen in years, colors vivid, red rim has a few small paint chips and minor scuff toward bottom, interior rim has very lite wear - virtually no damage, the tray itself has small bump (1/4") at very top above the Chief's headdress, couple lite scratches at right edge after the word "Ale", lite scuffs under small platform the Chief's riding on, couple small paint loss spots at lower left area on red rim, small nik where paint is lighter above the Chief's right hand, lite 2.5" rub at top left corner, small black spot at right middle edge, couple small pin spots of color loss in red around "Ale". Graded as Excellent, not a Near Mint, but VERY IMPRESSIVE and would make an AWESOME DISPLAY piece.
